TRIFLE 
1 pkg. lady fingers or sponge cake
1/4 c. sherry
Jam (strawberry, raspberry, etc.)
Any kind of fresh fruit (peaches, strawberries, apricots, blueberries, etc.)
Chopped almonds
2 c. vanilla custard

Line a crystal bowl with lady fingers. Sprinkle with sherry. Add jam. Add fruit. Sprinkle almonds. Add custard. Can add layers depending how deep bowl is. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours. About 1 hour before serving, pile whipped cream on top and garnish with fruit.
