CARAMEL RICE KRISPIE BARS 
2 pkgs. miniature marshmallows, divided
3/4 c. butter, divided
8 c. Rice Krispies
1 (about 14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 (13 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Melt 1 1/2 packages of marshmallows with 1/2 cup of the butter. Mix with cereal. Pack 2/3 of the mixture into a greased 9" or 10" by 15" pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 package of marshmallows on top.

Unwrap caramels and melt with the sweetened condensed milk and remaining 1/4 cup butter. Pour over mixture in pan. Pat remaining 1/3 of the cereal mixture on top. Several recipes suggested dampening your fingers before patting cereal on top. Refrigerate. Cut into bars.
