CARROT AND CORN CHOWDER 
2 slices of onion
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. cream corn
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
3 c. milk

Heat in the bottom of soup kettle the onion slices, butter and water. Then add carrots and corn. Stir occasionally until carrots are cooked through. Add milk, salt and pepper. Stir until hot. Serve with home baked bread.
