BUTTER CREAM TORTE | |
2 c. finely crushed vanilla wafers 1/2 lb. butter, softened 2 c. sifted powdered sugar 4 eggs 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts 1 c. whipping cream, whipped 1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries, drained Spread 1 cup of wafer crumbs in bottom of 9 inch square cake pan. Combine butter and sugar, cream well. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Spoon mixture over wafer crumbs in pan. Sprinkle 3/4 cup crumbs on top. |
