INDIAN PUDDING 
1/3 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. molasses
2 c. hot milk
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. cold milk

Heat oven to 275 degrees. Mix hot milk and cornmeal. Cook until thick (about 15 minutes), stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in remaining ingredients. Pour in 1 quart baking dish. Bake 2 hours. Serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream, or plain. 6-8 servings.
