MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 sm. bag Shawnee corn meal
1 c. milk
1 can cream style corn
1/2 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. grated cheese
2 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. bacon drippings
1 lg. onion
1 whole can chopped green chilies (mild

Fry hamburger, onion and green chilies; set aside. Mix meal, eggs, milk, corn, bacon drippings. Grease large skillet. Pour half batter into skillet. Cover with meat mixture and cheese. Cover with remaining batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve.
