APPLE-PECAN DESSERT | |
1 egg 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. chopped, peeled tart apples (2 med.) 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans In medium bowl, beat egg until light. Add flour, cinnamon, vanilla, brown sugar, salt and baking soda. Mix well. Fold in apples and pecans. Turn into greased 8-inch pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until firm and well browned. Serve warm or cool with whipped cream or ice cream. Quick and tasty. TIPS: For a more moist cake, you can shred apples instead of chopping them. Add 2 more tablespoons flour. |
