8 slices white bread
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped celery
1 tbsp. mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded cheese
1 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Dash paprika

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Toast bread; butter both sides. Cook and stir ground beef, onion, celery, and prepared mustard until meat is brown and onion tender. Alternate layers of toast, meat mixture, and cheese in a greased 9x9x2 baking dish. Mix the rest of ingredients and pour over layers. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 30-35 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
