CANDIED NUTS 
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. canned milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
2 c. whole half walnuts

Bring brown sugar and milk to soft boil stage, 240°F. Add vanilla and butter; take off heat. Add nuts; mix well. Pour onto buttered tinfoil and separate them. Dry overnight.

(Butter your hands before you try to separate them; it will be hot and sticky.)
