HAMBURGER HOT POT 
3/4 lb. hamburger
1 tsp. drippings
3 sliced onions
1/3 c. barley
1 pt. tomatoes
1 qt. water
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
3 carrots, sliced
3 stalks celery, diced
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Cook meat in drippings for 2-3 minutes. Crumble while cooking, add onions. Cook for 5 minutes. Add barley, tomatoes, water and pepper. Simmer 1 hour. Add vegetables and sauce. Cover and simmer 1 hour.
