MINCEMEAT DROP COOKIES 
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup mincemeat
1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Fold in mincemeat.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to creamed mixture, stirring until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet.

Bake in moderately hot oven (400°F) about 10 minutes.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
