3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. white sugar

Beat egg whites until frothy. Add cream of tartar and beat until they stand in peaks. Gradually add sugar.

Add:

17 soda crackers (crumbled coarse)
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Butter pie dish WELL. Bake 20 minutes at 300 degrees. (This browns only slightly.)

Serve with whipped cream.
