BREAKFAST COOKIES 
2 c. butter-flavored shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. crushed corn cereal
2 c. quick oatmeal
2 c. pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the first 5 ingredients. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, oatmeal and nuts together. Add to creamed mixture and mix until all ingredients are coated.

Lightly grease cookie sheets, drop batter onto cookie sheets using teaspoons. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before storing. Makes about 9 dozen cookies. Each cookie has 94 calories.
