BREAKFAST SAUSAGE CASSEROLE 
1 lb. sausage, cooked and sliced
6 slices of day-old bread
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
5 eggs, beaten
2 c. Half and half (I use milk)
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter in bottom of casserole dish. Dice bread; sprinkle over casserole dish bottom. Then, layer the sliced, cooked sausage. Whisk the eggs and milk together; add salt and pepper. Sprinkle grated cheese over sausage. Pour milk and egg mixture over all. Let stand 20 to 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
