BANANA BREAD 
1 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
3 mashed bananas
4 tbsp. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, buttermilk and bananas. Combine dry ingredients and nuts. Blend in other mixture. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes.
