SPICED FRUIT COMPOTE 
2 lg. oranges
1 (17 oz.) apricots, drained
2 lg. cans pear halves, drained
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
15 whole cloves
1/4 tsp. ginger

Peel and section oranges and place in large bowl. Add drained fruit. Simmer other ingredients over medium heat for 5 minutes. Pour at once over fruit. Refrigerate, covered, at least overnight.

Note: I also put a large can of pineapple chunks in it.
