4 med. potatoes, peeled & quartered 1 sm. head cabbage, cut in wedges 1 lb. (6-inch) pork sausage links Salt (to taste) Pepper (to taste) Forty-five minutes before the meal is ready to eat, place vegetables in a pot with an inch of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover to continue boiling until tender. Meanwhile, in a skillet, add 2 tablespoons water and the sausage links. Cook for 5 minutes, covered. Remove cover and brown well for 15 minutes. Last 5 minutes of cooking for vegetables, add browned sausage links and broth. Cook 5 minutes, covered. Then serve. |
