BASIC BAKED FISH 
3-4 lb. fish, dressed for baking
1/4 c. melted butter
Salt
Pepper

Place fish in a well greased baking dish and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle inside and outside of fish with salt and pepper. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-60 minutes, depending on thickness of fish. Fish will be done when the thickest part flakes easily when tested with a fork. Baste once or twice with drippings of melted butter. Garnish and serve with lemon wedges. Makes 4-6 servings.

Great basic recipe. I picked up a Swai fillet and baked following the steps you noted reduced for the 1/2 pound fillet. It came out great. I served it with a rice pilaf and a steamed artichoke with a side salad.
