PITA BLACK BEAN TOSTADOS 
1 can (16 oz.) black beans, drained (reserve 3 tbsp. liquid)
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. each garlic powder and ground cumin
2 (5 inch) whole wheat pitas split in half horizontally
1/2 c. 2% low fat cottage cheese
1/4 c. chunky salsa (from a jar)
1/4 c. sliced green onion

Lightly mash black beans, reserved liquid, chili powder, garlic powder and cumin in a medium size bowl. Spread on cut sides of pitas. Top with cottage cheese, salsa and green onion.
