GOOD EGG BREAKFAST | |
12 slices bread, crusts removed 4 eggs, beaten 2 1/2 c. milk 3/4 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. salad herbs Butter 6 slices of the bread on one side only and put them, butter side down, in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle grated cheese over. Butter other 6 slices and place them, butter side up, on top of slices in baking dish. Beat eggs, milk, and seasonings together and pour over bread. Refrigerate 12 hours or overnight. Bake one hour at 300 degrees, cut in squares and serve. |
