GREAT - GRANDMA BREAUX'S
BROWNIES
 
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
4 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped pecans

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and cocoa in small pot. Mix eggs, flour, sugar and vanilla together with electric mixer. Add melted butter. Mix well. Add pecans. Pour into buttered square baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle of brownies comes out clean. Do not overbake. Cool.

ICING:

2 c. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook until mixture comes to a light boil. Pour hot icing on cooled brownies. When icing is hard, cut brownies in squares. You can add 1 cup pecans and 1 cup raisins to brownies for an extra flavor.
