CORN BREAD DRESSING 
2 c. corn bread crumbs
4 c. white bread crumbs
2 1/2 c. hot water
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped onion (optional)

Crumble stale bread (or run through food chopper). Put the 6 cups of crumbs together in a pan and bake at 300 degrees until dry and golden brown. Stir often during browning. To make dressing add butter, baking powder, salt, desired seasoning to taste. Add hot water and mix well. Use in fowl or bake in greased pan at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
