COUNTRY COFFEE CAKE 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. oil
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten

Mix first seven ingredients until crumbly. Set aside 1 cup of this mixture. Add milk, soda, baking powder and egg to dry ingredients. Mix until all ingredients are moist. Pour into greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Sprinkle with reserved topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
