1 c. white sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 1/2 c. peanut butter
8 c. Special K cereal
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips (more, if desired)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (more, if desired)

Mix sugar and Karo syrup in large saucepan and bring to low boil. Add peanut butter and mix well, stirring continuously. Remove from heat. Add cereal; stir well. Lightly butter 11 x 13-inch pan. Pat in Special K mixture. Melt chips together and spread on cereal (can melt chips in microwave at 1/2 power). Let cool and cut in small squares.
