SPICED YAMS 
3 med. yams or sweet potatoes
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. grated orange rind

Peel potatoes and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes until done; drain. Mix in large skillet, corn syrup, butter, orange rind, juice and cinnamon; bring to boil (3 minutes). Add potatoes to syrup mixture; cook slowly, turning occasionally, 15 minutes or until potatoes are well glazed.
