BASIC ANGEL ROLLS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm (105 to 115 degree) water
2 1/2 to 3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. buttermilk

Dissolve yeast in warm water in a bowl; let stand 5 minutes.

Combine flour, baking powder, soda, sugar, and salt in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture. Combine oil, buttermilk, and yeast mixture; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Dough will be a little sticky.

Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface; cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Place rolls on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 16 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 2 dozen rolls.
