GREAT COFFEE CAKE FROM COMMACK,
NEW YORK
 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 pt. sour cream
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. rum extract
1 bag (12 oz.) chocolate chips
Cinnamon & sugar mixed together
1 bag walnuts, chopped

Mix all together. Put half of mixture into baking pan. Distribute some chocolate chips, sprinkle cinnamon - sugar and some walnuts. Cover with rest of the batter and repeat with chips, cinnamon - sugar and walnuts. This recipe doubles very nicely, but be sure you use a deep enough baking pan because it does rise.

Bake in 350 degree oven for an hour. Check if done. Continue baking until toothpick comes out clean.
