4 c. flour
1 c. salt
2 c. water

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Combine flour, salt and water in a large mixing bowl until all ingredients are thoroughly blended.

3. Shape figures into desired styles.

4. Bake for 30 minutes for smaller ornaments and 1-1 1/2 hours for large decorations. Tap with fingers; figures should be very hard.

NOTE:

1. For three dimensional, free-standing figures, crinkle a 4 inch x 4 inch piece of aluminum foil into a ball. Flatten out a 3 inch ball of dough and wrap it around the wad of foil. Smooth out surface with fingers.

2. Draw toss and other details with toothpicks.

3. To make hair, press the dough through a garlic press.

4. Before baking it's possible to paint ornaments with food coloring (mixed in a little water), or after baking with bright acrylic paints.

5. Pierce hole in the ornaments before baking for hanging ornaments.

6. Glaze with egg white for an additional touch of color. Put glaze on before baking ornament.
