TURNIPS AND PORK RIBS 
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. flour
1 lg. onion
4 turnips
4 lbs. pork ribs
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c. water

Heat oil, add flour and stir until medium brown. Add onion, pork ribs and turnips. Add water until consistency of gravy. Cook on low fire for about 3 hours. Serve on rice.
