HALLOWEEN BEEF PIES | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 med. onion chopped 1 tbsp. chili powder 2 cans tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1 sm. can chopped olives 1 (10 oz.) can biscuits 1 tsp. cumin 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 10 slices American cheese Brown beef and onion; drain. Sprinkle chili powder, cumin, salt, and garlic over mixture. Stir in tomato sauce and olives; cover and cook slowly for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Roll each biscuit to make a 4-inch circle. Press over the bottom of a greased muffin cup to fit snugly. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove biscuits immediately and place on a cookie sheet. Cut a 3-inch circle from each cheese slice and cut each with a sharp knife to make "jack-o-lantern" face. Chop cheese scraps into meat mixture. Place equal amounts of meat mixture in each biscuit cup and top with cheese face. Return to oven for about 3 minutes until cheese face begins to melt. Great way to get ghosts and goblins to eat before trick or treats! |
