WILD RICE CASSEROLE 
1/2 c. raw wild rice
2 tbsp. butter
1 sm. onion, minced
1/2 lb. sausage
1 sm. can mushrooms, chopped
3 chicken livers, chopped
Sage, salt and pepper to taste

Wash rice well in cold water; add boiling water to cover. Let stand covered until cool. Drain. Repeat this process 3 times. Saute onion in butter. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and cook slowly for about 10 minutes.

In a casserole, alternate layers of rice and sausage mixture, cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
