FRUIT BARS 
2 c. seedless raisins
1 1/2 c. glazed fruit mix
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. melted butter
2 tbsp. warm milk or coffee

Rinse raisins in hot water, drain, dry. Combine raisins, fruit mix, walnuts, orange juice and vanilla and let stand. I dry raisins in a cloth.

Cream butter, sugar and eggs with mixer. Sift dry ingredients together, add to creamed mixture a third at a time. Mix until smooth. Add fruit mixture and mix by hand. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Pat out on floured board, 1/2" thick. Cut into strips 3" long, 1 1/2" wide.
