CHICKEN FRIED STEAK 
1 lb. cube steak, cut in 4 pieces
1/2 c. bread crumbs (Italian preferred)
1 egg
salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder

Mix egg in a wide soup bowl with salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Place bread crumbs in a wide soup bowl and dip meat on both sides in the egg mix. Roll meat in bread crumbs on both sides. Place in a heated oil frying pan on medium heat, all pieces, with tight-fitting cover for a few minutes and turn over; put cover on and cook on slow heat until done (5 minutes). Turn again if needed.

Serves 2 to 4.
