LAZY DAISY OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats (uncooked)
1/2 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Pour water over oats; cover and let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy; gradually beat in sugars. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Stir in oats mixture. Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices. Add to creamed mixture; blend well. Pour batter into greased and floured 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.

ICING:

1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
3 tbsp. light cream
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. coconut

Combine butter, brown sugar, cream, nuts and coconut. Spread over cake. Boil until it bubbles.
