HASHBROWN CASSEROLE 
1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash browns
1 stick melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 pt. (16 oz.) sour cream
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

TOPPING:

2 c. crushed corn flakes
1/2 stick melted butter
Grated cheese, if desired

Completely thaw hash browns. Mix all, except topping. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes (or longer if potatoes not thawed). During last 10 minutes, sprinkle topping over casserole.

To Make Topping: Mix corn flakes with melted butter. Sprinkle over casserole. Sprinkle cheese around edge of casserole if desired. Continue baking. Serves 10.
