DROP BUTTER COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour (unsifted)
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt until well mixed. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 1 inch apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until just starting to turn brown. About 36 cookies.
