BROILED PARMESAN POTATOES 
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 med. potatoes, sliced about 1/4 inch
1/4 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese

Stir together butter, basil, paprika, garlic, and pepper. Dip potatoes in mixture. Place potatoes in a single layer on the unheated rack of a broiler pan 5 inches from heat for 8 to 9 minutes, until potatoes begin to brown. Using a wide spatula turn potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil for 5 to 6 minutes more or until potatoes are tender. Makes about 4 servings.
