BANANA OATMEAL DROP COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. mashed bananas (2 or 3)
1 3/4 c. rolled oats (quick)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. sugar

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Cut in shortening.

Add remaining ingredients. Beat until thoroughly blended.

Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 12 to 15 minutes or until done. Do not overbake.
