SPANISH WHIPPED CREAM DESSERT | |
1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 4 egg yolks 1 3/4 c. flour 1 lg. tbsp. cocoa 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 c. milk 4 egg whites Cream shortening, add sugar, egg yolks and beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, cocoa, cinnamon and add alternately with milk. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in 2 greased layer tins 30 to 40 minutes in 350 degree oven. The following is used as a filling and topping or as sauce served over squares. Fold 4 tablespoons chocolate sundae topping (any brand) into 1 cup whipped cream. |
