TWINKIE CAKE 
1 yellow cake mix

Filling:

5 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven. Prepare yellow cake mix according to package directions. Pour batter into a greased and floured cookie sheet pan.

Bake according to package directions. Cool cake.

Filling: Carefully blend flour and milk in small saucepan. Heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Cool mixture. In a bowl, beat sugar, salt and Crisco until fluffy. Add cooled flour and milk mixture; beat until smooth. Turn cake out of pan onto wax paper. Cut cake in half lengthwise. Spread filling on 1/2 of the cake. Place other half of cake on top of filling. Cut into squares to serve.
