HAM & POTATO CHOWDER | |
1 lg. onion, diced 3 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. water 4 med. potatoes, cut in 1/2" cubes 2 tbsp. flour, blended with 1/2 c. milk 2 1/2 c. milk 1/2 lb. smoked ham, cubed 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. thyme In a Dutch oven, saute the onions in the butter until tender. Stir in the water and potatoes. Cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender. Stir in the blended flour, milk, ham, salt, pepper and thyme. Cover and cook 5 to 10 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender. Serves 4. |
