MICROWAVE TOFFEE 
1/2 c. pecans, finely chopped
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. pecans, finely chopped
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chocolate chips

Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans in a 9" circle on greased cookie sheet. Set aside. Coat top and sides of a 2 1/2-quart glass bowl with butter. Place remaining butter in bowl. Add sugar, salt and water. Do not stir. Microwave on high 11 minutes or until mixture just begins to turn light brown. Pour over pecans. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and let stand 1 minute. Spread chips over mixture. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup pecans. Chill until firm. Break into bite-size pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
