GROUND RAISIN COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. ground raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 c. milk
4 c. flour

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Add dry and wet ingredients alternately and mix. Shape into balls, flatten slightly, dip in sugar and bake at 350 degrees.
