CHAMPAGNE PUNCH 
8 c. strawberries
1 c. sugar
2 c. strawberries or similar juice (chilled)
2 bottles (750 ml.) chilled Chablis or white wine
4 bottles (750 ml.) chilled champagne

Wash and halve strawberries, place in bottom of punch bowl with sugar. Toss gently. Pour wine over berries and let soak for 2 to 3 hours. Just before serving add chilled champagne. Serves 35 to 40.
