TOMATO SALAD AND SAUCE 
1 heaping tbsp. grated garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. coarse black pepper
1/2 c. plus catsup
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
3/4 c. plus sugar to taste
1/2 tsp. salad oil
5 med. tomatoes

Makes 1 1/2 cups sauce. Peel tomatoes. Cut tomatoes in quarter slices and pour sauce as needed and marinate in refrigerator about 2 to 3 hours before serving. Sauce can be kept for a week.
