1 regular size can crushed pineapple 1 pkg. round butter cookies with hole in the center 1 stick butter 1 pkg. Dream Whip brand topping 1 sm. can or pkg. coconut Open can of pineapple and drain. Line cookie sheet with wax paper. In saucepan, melt butter with crushed pineapple. Line cookies one by one, side by side, on cookie sheet. Drop one tablespoon of pineapple mixture on top of each cookie. Then layer with another cookie. Repeat this procedure until each stack measures 4 to 5 cookies tall. Place in refrigerator for about an hour to cool. Mix Dream Whip according to directions. Remove cooled cookies from refrigerator and spread Dream Whip over each stack completely. Sprinkle with coconut to your liking. Refrigerate until ready to eat. |
