ALMOND CRESCENTS | |
1 c. shortening 1/3 c. sugar 2/3 c. ground almonds 1 2/3 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt Mix shortening, sugar and almonds. Sift together the flour and salt and work into shortening. Chill dough. Roll with hands, about a teasponful, until pencil thin. Form into crescents on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, but not brown. Cool on pan. While slightly warm, dip carefully in powdered sugar. Bake at 325 degrees for 14-16 minutes. |
