GOLDEN OATS FRIED CHICKEN | |
3/4 c. 3-minute brand quick oats 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 c. chopped blanched almonds 2 tbsp. minced parsley 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground thyme 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. butter 1/4 tsp. garlic powder (or 1 clove garlic, crushed) 2 1/2 - 3 lb. frying chicken, cut up Combine oats, cheese, almonds, parsley, salt, thyme, and pepper. In a 9"x13" baking dish, melt butter with garlic powder. Dip chicken pieces in garlic- butter and then in oats mixture. Place chicken pieces in baking dish and bake, uncovered at 375 degrees for 55 to 65 minutes, or until tender. Do not turn chicken pieces during baking. |
