PECAN BUTTER COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans

(Put whole pecans on top of each.)

Cream butter with sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flavoring. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts and beat well. Roll dough into 1 inch balls.

Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press a pecan half into center of each cookie. Bake at 300 degrees until lightly browned. Cool slightly before taking up. This is a crisp cookie and not sweet.
