APPLE CRISP WITH ORANGE JUICE 
4 c. sliced, pared tart apples
1/4 c. orange juice
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg (optional)
Dash salt
1/3 c. butter

Mound apples in buttered pie plate and pour orange juice over them.

In separate bowl, combine sugar, flour, spice, salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm with cream. Makes 4-6 servings.
